SUPERVISION

A narrow hallway with a brick wall on the right, a white wall on the left, and a large window at the end. The window has a white radiator beneath it and two pendant lights hanging from the ceiling.

Behind every great clinician is a space where their own ideas, challenges, and professional identity are given room to breathe. That’s the essence of clinical supervision — a space not just for reflection, but for growth, accountability, and inspiration.

As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with extensive experience across both acute and community-based mental health organisations — including senior clinical management roles — I bring a depth of perspective to the supervision space that blends practical know-how with the curiosity to explore new ways forward. I’ve supervised social workers, psychologists, and other allied health professionals, supporting them to sharpen their practice, strengthen their professional identity, and navigate the often-complex realities of working in mental health.

The Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) identifies ongoing supervision as a core requirement for membership — not as a tick-box exercise, but because it is integral to ethical, competent, and sustainable practice. Supervision is where clinicians refine their skills, stay aligned to professional standards, manage the emotional demands of the work, and continue developing as practitioners long after their formal training ends.

My supervision style is collaborative, supportive, and focused on your professional growth. Whether we’re unpacking a complex client case, exploring ethical considerations, or reflecting on your career direction, the aim is always the same: to help you feel confident, clear, and connected to the work you do.

Supervision sessions go for 60 minutes, with a fee of $225 + GST. Longer supervision sessions are available at a pro-rata fee scale.
